Ahhhh ... yes Hibiscus do thrive up here, but they are grown differently. Some can be outside during the summer months , but MUST be taken indoors before the first frost. Also they must be sprayed to get rid of any outside bugs and kept in a transitional temperature, before being taken indoors for the winter. The other species, can only be grown indoors and they must be pampered, sprayed and cuddled before they will bloom. Thanks for visiting
@hyde dp I responded to your question in the forum and followed your suggestions. I doubt I will get approved in your group because of the naming convention. Be that as it may .... life goes on. Cheers

This may sound stupid, but I didn't know tropical flowers could thrive in Canada's climate.
Hibiscus was the name of my house at primary school. It's one of my favourite flowers. But it can't top my number one fave - orchids.
By the way, I LOVE this idea of yours in creating this blog. Shows another side of you. Good for Ann and Keith in being sources of inspiration.

Hi Morpheus
Could you give us an idea of exactly where Mench is?
